    I am appearing at the Bath Literature Festival alongside Lavinia Greenlaw.

  2. A Race Apart- Radio 4 29th Feb 2008 11am

    My documentary on black only universities is being broadcast on Radio 4 this morning. In it i travel to Washington DC and Tennessee to look at why some black students think that attending a black only university will improve their career prospects.

  3. Newsnight Review 29th February 2008

    I am a panellist on Newsnight Review and amongst the things being discussed are the new novel by Hanif Kureishi and BBC 2’s forthcoming season on the white working class.

    I have a feature in the Observer Review next week about the 40th anniversay of Enoch Powell’s Rivers of Blood speech.

  5. Kitab Book Festival, Mumbai Feb 24th

    I am appearing at the Kitab book festival at 3pm in Mumbai in conversation with Nikki Bedi

  6. website update

    I am in the process of updating the website. Since it was launched I have made a whole bunch of radio documentaries and they will all be uploaded in the next few weeks. I am also hoping to update the book section to include news of the upcoming paperback publication of my book.

    I am on Newsnight Review with Jeanette Winterson and amongst the items we are discussing are Martin Amis’ collection of writings about September 11 and the new play from David Hare.
