I am presenting Saturday Reviwew on Radio 4 on 24th September and October 1st. In the first show we will be reviewing Mike Leigh's play at the National, a new documentary about the New York Times and a novel about zombies.

Aled Jones on Radio 2 January30
I am on Radio 2 on Sunday morning on the Aled Jones programme- probably between 730 and 830 ie an ungodly hour when you will be asleep but you can listen again if you really really want to.

The teetotallers guide to boozing Monday 20 december 2010 11am
my documentary on non-drinking is on Radio 4 this week. Its about what its like to not drink and I speak to other non-drinkers about student days, dating and work to see how not drinking impacts on their lives.

anna lindh foundation prize
on october 14th the anna lindh foundation announced the winners of its journalist prize. the award goes to writing that helps understanding between different communities and it was announced in Monte Carlo. I was invited to attend because my article 'My Month of Being Jewish' was short listed and this evening I learnt that I had won.

upcoming week starting 27th September
a rather exciting week as I am going to be interviewing Pete Townsend, for a Radio 4 documentary, and Jonathan Franzen for a video interview for The Guardian. This weekend I am talking to David Vann who wrote the acclaimed Legend of a Suicide, so all in all rather a stimulating seven days coming up.
